A Little Life Update: June 2023

Writing over the past few years has been incredibly therapeutic for me. No matter what is going on, I’ve always been able to gain some clarity and peace from it. I laugh because of the past few years, it’s always been a mindset of “it can only go up from here.” One ankle surgery turned into three. Life has been flying by and relationships are changing. Dealing with the unique intricacies of family, work, life, and more has honestly took a greater toll on me then I would have liked, so here I am writing it all out. Without further ado, here is a little life update.

It’s hard to say a phrase like I’m at a low point because it truly is all relative. I found certain things to be much more challenging than they usually are. With getting older (and hopefully wiser), I’ve learned so much about myself. I tend to support others more than I usually get support, to care wayyyy too much, and will put others before myself. While none of these are bad qualities, I’m not going to lie it hurts when you give and don’t get it back into return.

I’ve shed many tears over the past two months like probably more than I have in the past five years combined, but the tears have been just as therapeutic as writing. Instead of just wishing, I’m ready to take action. It really comes down to I can only control what I can do. Trust me that is much easier said than done. So this little life update is for some accountability to keep me trending upwards.

Key Focus Areas

  • Health
  • Relationships
  • Finances
  • Work

Goals

I love to break down goals into small actionable steps that realistic. Plus, so many of these goals are intertwined. My health is affected by my relationships, finances, and work and vice versa for each thing. It would be naïve of me to think improving one will make the change I’m hoping for. Now the goals below may seem simple and generic, but as Miley Cyrus said it’s about the climb.

  • Create a morning and night routine
  • Eat a home cooked meal for all meals Monday – Thursday (unless for a social activity of course)
  • Work my way up to 10,000 steps a day and increase my steps by 10% each week
  • Find outside time each day
  • Create a corporate & custom package page and kit on Premurosa
  • Expand Premurosa to 20 curated gift box offerings
  • Create a community on social media. While I have never been really focused on followers, I feel like I’m not alone. Unfortunately, you don’t see the realistic side of social media. It going to be incredibly vulnerable, but hopefully worth it
  • Try one new free activity each month
  • Attend an event or gathering that will force me to meet new people
  • Don’t work past 9pm
  • Turn my blog into a LLC
  • Create and more importantly maintain a clutter free space

With all of this being said, I do want to thank you for reading this life update and supporting. When days get tough, it is always so rewarding to see what people gravitate towards (my most read is definitely the travel guides).
