Nike Dunks are the coolest shoes in my opinion. You may think that wearing sneakers just gives a sporty vibe, but I argue it is so much more than that. Shoes, just like fashion, can show so much of your personality. After my many ankle surgeries, I’m officially retiring the heels (most of the time 😉) and leaning into the sneakers. I wish that I had the budget to become a full blown sneaker head, but I know I will slowly build my collection.
As I reflect on my style evolution, I can recall times not that long ago where I wouldn’t have had the confidence to rock high tops at any situation. Even at a wedding last summer, I had the straps of my heels break immediately as I was getting to the church. I turned to my black Nike high tops and just rocked it. It’s the number one rule in my book as long as you feel comfortable and confident, go for it!
For my birthday this year, I received my first pair of Nike Dunks. I scoured online to find the perfect pair. It can be so hard to find Nike Dunks firsthand, but the reseller market is really strong. I got my first pair of dunks from StockX. I have worn them a handful of times and I have been stopped every single time I have worn them with compliments. This just wants me to have more (not good for the wallet ha!). So instead of buying more sneakers, I just created my ultimate wish list and it’s too good to not share!
