Joe’s Seafood

These last few weeks have been a blur, but I am hopeful things are looking up. Back around the new year, we did a special occasion meal before my sister headed back to London. Chicago is full of incredible restaurants, but one of my favorites is Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab. The perfect combination of steak and seafood. There are also other locations in Miami and Las Vegas.

With a glass of prosecco in hand, we started with the charred octopus. It was incredible. The flavors were a delicious combination. Sadly, this was my last shellfish before I was diagnosed with an allergy. I should have known with a scratchy throat, but it was worth it.

For my entrée, I got the filet mignon with bearnaise sauce. It was melt in your mouth good. My family got the crab stuffed shrimp, crab cakes, and ribeye. Everyone loved their meals. On the side, we got the Brussels sprouts, crispy onion strings, mac & cheese, and the lyonnaise potatoes. My two favorites were the lyonnaise potatoes and Brussels sprouts.

You can’t end a celebratory meal without dessert. We shared the peanut butter pie and Boston cream pie. Both were good, but that peanut butter pie is out of this world.
