Suzette’s Creperie

I am excited to share my first suburban restaurant find. As some of you may know, I grew up in the western suburbs and still have a ton of family who live out there. That restaurant is Suzette’s Creperie which happens to be one of my grandma’s favorite restaurants.

We grew up on spinach crepes. It was a favorite of both my mom and grandma that we would have on special occasions. Fast forward, many years later when I learned there was more than spinach crepes. Suzette’s is inspired by the French philosophy that they don’t make time for food, but they take time for food. You could easily spend hours enjoying the wine and food just like the French do.

I cannot go to a French restaurant and not get the French Onion Soup. It was as delicious as it looks. We also shared the crab cake as an appetizer. It surprisingly had a kick. For the entrée, I had the Wild Mushroom & Caramelized Onion Crepe. If you love mushrooms, this crepe is for you. You also get a side salad with any entrée. For dessert, we got the crème brulee. It was so creamy! I also had to try this birthday cake macaron. Can’t wait to try other flavors.
