Every year, I look forward to Chicago Restaurant Week. Typically, it takes place at the end of January through early February. This year due to the pandemic they pushed it back to spring. All participating restaurants offer a prix fixe menu at a set price for you to choose from. I usually go to 2-3 meals over the two-week period because it such a great way to try new restaurants at a discount.

This year, I was excited to try out Swift & Sons Tavern. Located in the Hotel Zachary building just across the street from Wrigley Field, this spot definitely brings some elegance to the area. I started with Tavern Spritz as I am on a mission to try new cocktails this year. My friend and I split the pretzel bites and Caesar salad to start. For my entrée, the steak frites were delicious. That au poivre sauce was the chef’s kiss. Finally, the pudding dessert was so rich and decadent. Now I cannot wait to go back to try more of the menu! It is definitely a must add to your list in Chicago.
