Many moons ago, I was really sad when Justin’s closed on Southport in the Lakeview neighborhood. It held a ton of memories that I cherish from my first few years in the city. Tuco & Blondie came in behind Justin’s and I could not have imagined a better spot to replace it. As soon as you step foot inside, the vibe is apparent. It is fun and playful with a “Mexifun” sign and a piñata room. They also have a great patio as well!
We started with the strawberry margaritas. I usually lean towards frozen margaritas, but this one was absolutely delicious! We got the queso to start and highly recommend. One of their top dishes is their fajitas. I got the steak ones and they do taste as good as they look!
